LA Galaxy Academy products Efrain Alvarez and Ethan Zubak have been named to the 2018 USL 20 Under 20, a list of the top players under the age of 20 within the league.
Alvarez, 16, takes this year's top spot at No. 1 in the league's 20 Under 20 ranking. The talented teenage midfielder from Los Angeles has starred for LA Galaxy II, scoring 12 goals and two assists in 16 appearances. Alvarez was also named to MLSsoccer.com's 2018 22 Under 22 list.
Zubak, 20, has been ranked No. 2 in the league's 20 Under 20 ranking. This season, he has recorded 11 goals in 30 appearances for LA Galaxy II. Zubak has been named to the USL 20 Under 20 for the second consecutive year. In 2017, he was ranked No. 3 after scoring four goals and earning three assists in 38 USL regular-season appearances.
The USL 20 Under 20 was selected by ballots cast by technical staffs across the league's clubs and the USL Technical Committee. USL players who were born following this year’s cutoff of January 1, 1998 were eligible.
