LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy drew 1-1 in their first official preseason fixture on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Los Angeles were first on the board with an own goal from midfielder Terique Mohammed. Toronto scored late on a Dave Romney own goal to equalize.
Guillermo Barros Schelotto's squad played the match without four key starters as Ola Kamara, Sebastian Lletget, Giovani dos Santos, and Zlatan Ibrahimović (precaution) missed out on Saturday’s contest.
The Galaxy almost went the distance for a clean sheet, but were undone by an own goal of their own in the 86th minute from Dave Romney.
Los Angeles continues Saturday when they host Vancouver Whitecaps FC in an STM-only match at Orange County Great Park.
