LA Galaxy II (1-1-0, 3 points) secured a 3-0 victory on the road against Tacoma Defiance (1-1-0, 3 points).
LA Galaxy II looked refocused after a difficult loss last weekend at home against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. In the opening minutes of play, Los Dos had multiple scoring opportunities and were able to convert on one in the 24th minute. Ernesto Walker showed his strength in the box by shrugging off a defender to fire off a shot. Augustine Williams tucked the shot past Tacoma goalkeeper Trey Muse to put Los Dos on the board first.
In the 41st minute, Los Dos found their second goal of the night after Walker tip-toed by Tacoma Defiance defenders into the six-yard box. Walker chipped the ball over Muse to find the back of the net, recording his first goal with LA Galaxy II. The away side entered halftime up by two.
Coming out of Head Coach Mike Muñoz’s halftime chat, Los Dos continued to press offensively in search of their third goal. In the 60thminute, Diedie Traore sent a perfectly weighted long ball into the box, finding Williams who headed a floater over Tacoma’s keeper. With the goal, Williams secured his first brace for LA Galaxy II.
