Lineup Notes:
- With just five games left in the regular season, the LA Galaxy return to Dignity Health Sports Park for a Sunday night contest against Western Conference side Sporting Kansas City, airing on FS1 and FOX Deportes.
- LA Galaxy Head Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto welcomes back Sebastian Lletget, Uriel Antuna and Jonathan dos Santos after the trio returned this week from international duty with Mexico/USA.
- Once again in net is David Bingham, who boasts eight shutouts and the most saves in Major League Soccer. He has started in every Galaxy game this season. He remains the most famous David B in LA Galaxy history that doesn’t model underwear.
- Out wide on the right is Rolf Feltscher, who has made 21 starts in that position on the season. Rolf’s head is OK despite it getting kicked… inside the 18-yard box… at the end of the game Wednesday vs. Colorado.
- Slotting back into the XI is Uruguayan Diego Polenta, who missed Wednesday’s contest vs. Colorado due to yellow card accumulation. Playing good defense, living on ranches and riding horses are the staples of a good life for Polenta.
- Alongside Polenta is Daniel Steres, who makes his 27th start of the year and the 91st of his career. Steres remains tied for second on the team with three goals this season, which is a remarkable stat.
- Out wide on the left is the talented, versatile and dashing Dave Romney, who makes his 6th start of the season. Romney, who will be especially excited to play on a Sunday in support of his five separate NFL fantasy football teams, was the first-ever player to sign a first-team contract from Galaxy II.
- In the center is Jonathan dos Santos, who is having a standout year with the Galaxy at an MLS Best XI level. JDS starts after missing the match Wednesday due to international duty. He will make a difference Sunday.
- Joe Corona makes his 23rd start of the season on Sunday. Since he joined earlier this season from Liga MX, he has provided a steady presence in the center of the field for the Galaxy.
- In the center of the field, you know him, you love him, he probably loves you: Da’ Boy Sebastian Lletget. Lletget returns after a solid showing with the USMNT that saw him get the starting nod against Uruguay.
- Out wide on the left is Cristian Pavon, the talented maestro that signed last month. Since his arrival, he has tallied one goal, added four assists and conducted one orchestra as a member of the Galaxy.
- Up top is Zlatan. He has scored several goals.
Game Notes:
- The LA Galaxy are 25-23-15 all-time vs. SKC.
- At home, the Galaxy have gone 16-7-7 against Sporting KC.
- This year at home, the Galaxy have gone 9-4-1.
- In those 14 home games, LA has scored 24 goals and allowed 18.
- The Galaxy are 11-1-1 this season when scoring the game’s opening goal, and 2-12-1 when conceding first.
- When leading at halftime, LA are 6-2-1. They are 7-3-2 when tied at halftime.
Storylines:
- Can the Galaxy get three points at home with a few games left in the season?
- Can an adjusted backline shut down SKC’s attack?
- How will having Lletget, Antuna and JDS back affect the Galaxy?
- Will Zlatan be on the score sheet?
- Can Pavon be a difference maker on Sunday?

REO Speedwagon – Can’t Fight this Feeling
Oh, I can't fight this feeling any longer
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out this friendship has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show
I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I said there is no reason for my fear
'Cause I feel so secure when we're together
You give my life direction
You make everything so clear
And even as I wander
I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window
On a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars, forever
'Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crushing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore
