CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy were well represented at the Torneo de Naciones in Mexico with Homegrown midfielder Efrain Alvarez playing a leading role.
Alvarez appeared in all three of Mexico’s matches as they secured the title over Argentina last weekend. The Galaxy homegrown player’s finest moment came against Chile when he scored a remarkable finish to help El Tri get the victory.
On the U.S. team, Academy defender Kobe Hernandez started and captained the U.S. in all three of their contests with fellow Galaxy players Adam Saldana and Mauricio Cuevas each making appearances.
Hernandez and Saldana will now turn their attention to an international youth tournament in England where they’ll represent the USA in matches against England, Brazil, and Russia as the group prepares for the upcoming Nike Friendlies.
