Fans advised to arrive early for Sunday’s game

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Oct. 13, 2014) – The LA Galaxy advise all fans to arrive early for the match this Sunday, Oct. 19 against Seattle Sounders FC at StubHub Center, with kickoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT (ESPN, ESPN Deportes). Set to be forward Landon Donovan’s final-ever home contest of the MLS Regular Season, LA Galaxy will open all gates for fan entry at 3:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, a full two hours prior to kickoff.


Fans are encouraged to be in their seats at StubHub Center no later than 5:20 p.m. PT, when the LA Galaxy will honor Donovan’s historic career with a special on-field celebration. The Galaxy will also honor the club’s all-time leader in goals and assists during and after the match.


There will be additional StubHub Center parking at SouthBay Pavilion on Del Amo Blvd. in the lot directly adjacent to the Sears building, with a free shuttle service taking fans to and from StubHub Center from 3-9 p.m. With limited parking, fans are recommended to carpool to the match if possible.


In order to route traffic around the StubHub Center facility on Sunday, there will be intermittent gate closures. Fans with specific gate entries can drive clockwise around the facilities until they reach their designated gate to accommodate traffic flow.


Fans wishing to use preferred or valet parking on Sunday are encouraged to arrive as early as possible, as both are expected to sell out quickly.


Tied with the MLS-lead in points at 60 each, the Galaxy will face Seattle in the final two matches of the regular season for a chance to win the 2014 MLS Supporters’ Shield. Donovan, who announced his retirement following the 2014 season, is set to make his 137th appearance all-time at StubHub Center after 14 years in MLS.
