LA Galaxy Academy player Rey Ortiz’s mother passed away from lymphoma cancer earlier this week, leaving behind three children. In order to support a formal funeral and burial, fans have rallied to already raise over $4,000 to support this cause.

Ortiz, 18, has represented the LA Galaxy Academy U-15/16’s in the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy. He is committed to play soccer at University of California Berkeley.
