CARSON, Calif.— Next month, all LA Galaxy Academy teams will begin the new season on September 8.
The younger Galaxy Academy teams, U-12 through U-15, will compete in the Southern California Development Soccer League, a three-month league that begins on September 8 and runs through the end of November, while the Galaxy U-16 and U-18 teams kick off their US Soccer Development Academy season on September 8 as well.
On the opening weekend, the U-16 and U-18 teams will host Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday the 8th and Portland Timbers on Sunday the 9th with all four games being played on University Field 5 at The Home Depot Center. The 18’s will play at 10 a.m. both days with the 16’s following at 12:30 p.m.
The US Soccer Development Academy regular season runs through June 1, 2013.
