Giovani and Jonathan dos Santos started as Mexico fell 2-0 to Denmark in their final match before the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The dos Santos brothers put forth a solid effort as they each played just under 60 minutes in the friendly for Juan Carlos Osorio’s squad. After their substitutions, the Danes took full advantage with a four-minute flurry that saw Yussaf Poulsen and Christian Eriksen put the European squad ahead for good.
Mexico will now head to Russia to kick off the start of the FIFA World Cup. They’ll open the tournament on Sunday against Germany at Luzhniki Stadium.
