LOS ANGELES -- #YonyWatch is over. The LA Galaxy's Colombian winger Yony Gonzalez will be available for selection for Saturday's match against San Jose Earthquakes, head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto confirmed on Thursday.
The Galaxy manager told media during a Zoom media availability that the Colombian has begun training with the club and will be eligible to make his debut as early as Saturday's trip to Northern California.
"He will be ready with us. [On Friday,] we decide how many minutes he's ready. We need to think about the Wednesday game as well, he has to be ready for Portland too," Schelotto told reporters. "He's ready. he's going to impact very well with us. He's the kind of player that we need. He can play out wide or up top. The best thing is that we have options, we have a lot of games coming out so everyone has to be ready."
