Gyasi Zardes has been nominated for AT&T Goal of the week for his fantastically-worked goal against Real Salt Lake.
In the 20th minute of Saturday’s match against RSL, Marcelo Sarvas dribbled up the right wing and played a fantastic ball across the top of the 18-yard box towards Landon Donovan.
Landon Donovan left the ball for the onrushing Gyasi Zardes, who fended off a challenge from Joao Plata and slotted home a shot from 20 yards that went off the post and into the back of the net.
Zardes is up against Bradley Wright-Phillips, Jermain Defoe, Thierry Henry and Deshorn Brown. Vote now to help Zardes claim this week’s prize.
