CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, April 14, 2015) – LA Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo has been nominated for MLS Save of the Week for Week 6 for a brilliant denial of Lamar Neagle during a 1-0 victory over Seattle Sounders FC.

Just minutes into the match, Penedo set the tone for what would be a 10-save performance when he made a leaping save on a header from Neagle. The Sounders forward found space inside the Galaxy’s 18 and launched a looping header over Penedo, but the Panamanian ‘keeper jumped backwards to get a hand on the ball and force it over the net and out for a corner.
Penedo’s career-high 10 saves against Seattle earned him MLS Player of the Week honors for Week 6.
