CARSON, Calif. (Monday, May 4, 2015) – The LA Galaxy will play two road contests this week, beginning Wednesday, May 6 at Rio Tinto Stadium against Real Salt Lake at 6:30 p.m. PT before a match against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium Saturday, May 9 at 5:30 p.m. PT. Both matches will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes and over radio on The Beast 980 and ESPN Deportes 1330 AM. LA Galaxy II travel for a match Saturday, May 9 against OKC Energy FC at Taft Stadium at 5 p.m. PT.
The Galaxy (3-2-4, 13 points) are 11-11-6 against Real Salt Lake all time in their 28 regular season meetings, scoring 42 goals in those matchups. At Rio Tinto Stadium, the Galaxy are 2-3-2 in MLS Regular Season matchups. In their last meeting, the Galaxy earned a 5-0 victory over Real Salt Lake at StubHub Center in last year’s MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference Semifinal second leg behind three goals from Landon Donovan and a goal each from Marcelo Sarvas and Robbie Keane.
Against FC Dallas, the Galaxy are 31-21-11 in MLS Regular Season matchups with 112 goals scored in 63 games. They have earned a 3-8-2 record at Toyota Stadium. In their last contest, the Galaxy fell to FC Dallas 2-1 as a goal from Stefan Ishizaki wasn’t enough to overcome goals from David Texeira and Fabian Castillo late in the 2014 MLS Regular Season.
The Galaxy enter this week’s road fixtures winless in their last 10 MLS matches on the road away from StubHub Center, including last year’s MLS Cup Playoffs matches. During that span, the team has gone 0-5-5.
The Galaxy earned a draw Saturday at StubHub Center against the Colorado Rapids behind a late goal from substitute Alan Gordon, his third of the year. The draw extended an unbeaten streak at StubHub Center to 27 games in all competitions.
