CARSON, Calif. (Monday, January 6, 2014) – The LA Galaxy and CONCACAF announced today that the Galaxy will play the first leg of their 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal against Club Tijuana at StubHub Center on Wednesday, March 12. That game, which is the first leg of the two-leg, aggregate goal series, will kick off at 7 p.m. (PT). The second leg of that series will be played at Estadio Caliente in Tijuana, Mexico on Tuesday, March 18, with kickoff also scheduled for 7 p.m.
Tickets for the Galaxy’s home leg of this series at StubHub Center are included as Bonus Game A for all 2014 Galaxy Season Ticket Members. Based less than 150 miles apart, the Galaxy and Tijuana have twice before met in friendlies, but these will be the first games between the two sides in an official competition.

If the Galaxy, who are the first MLS club to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Champions League in three straight years, advance to the tournament’s semifinals, they will face the winner of the series between Cruz Azul and Sporting Kansas City. The Galaxy would host the first leg of that potential series from April 1-3 while the return leg would be played on the road from April 8-10. The first leg of the 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League finals will be played from April 15-17 with the second leg to be played from April 22-24. If the Galaxy reach the Finals of the Champions League for the first time in club history, they would host the first leg of that series.
