CARSON, Calif. – If the LA Galaxy get through to the fifth round of the U.S. Open Cup, they’ll face a pair of familiar foes.
Should the LA Galaxy get past USL PRO side Arizona United SC on June 18 at Peoria Sports Complex, they’ll face the winner of the Chivas USA match against the NASL’s Carolina RailHawks on June 14 at WakeMed Soccer Park.
If Chivas USA win, the Galaxy will host Chivas in an Open Cup SuperClasico on June 24 at StubHub Center, but if the RailHawks advance, the Galaxy will travel to North Carolina for the match at WakeMed on the same date.
The Galaxy have been eliminated from the U.S. Open Cup during the last two tournaments by the RailHawks, both times LA needed to travel to face the NASL club.
