CARSON, Calif. (Monday, July 25, 2016) – The LA Galaxy will play their second-straight road match this weekend when they travel to Seattle for an MLS match against Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, July 31 at 1 p.m. PT live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. LA Galaxy II will play their third-straight road game in USL this weekend on Saturday, July 30 at 7:00 p.m. against Orange County Blues FC at Anteater Park in Irvine, Calif.
All time, the Galaxy are 9-4-6 against Sounders FC and 4-3-3 in road contests in MLS play. Sunday’s match will mark the third time the Galaxy will have faced Seattle this month in all competitions. In their first match of the month, played on July 9, the Galaxy earned a 1-0 win in MLS play over Seattle at CenturyLink Field behind a goal from Robbie Keane. The Galaxy then earned a 4-2 win over Seattle Sounders FC last week in the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals.
The Galaxy earned a 2-1 win at Providence Park on Saturday behind goals from Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes. With the win, the Galaxy have now won four straight and are unbeaten in their last six MLS matches. LA have won their last six games in all competitions (four MLS, two U.S. Open Cup). The Galaxy’s +15 goal differential this year is the best in MLS and their 19 goals allowed are second-fewest in MLS. The Galaxy have allowed just two goals in their last six games, the fewest in MLS.
