LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy Academy Under-14’s will participate alongside some of the most prominent academies from around the globe this December.
Los Angeles will face off against FC Barcelona, Shanghai Football Team, and Inter Miami in the group stage of the 24-team tournament which will run from Dec. 11 to Dec. 15 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. The Galaxy opens the tournament on Dec. 11 vs. Inter Miami before taking on Shanghai later in the day. Los Angeles then face FC Barcelona a day later.
The Galaxy are one of eight U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy squads participating in the tournament joining the likes of the New York Red Bulls, New England Revolution, Houston Dynamo, Inter Miami, and others.
The second edition of the ICC Futures tournament will boast European giants Real Madrid, Juventus, and Latin American powerhouses Chivas de Guadalajara and Vasco de Gama.
