The LA Galaxy U-16’s will face Club Tijuana in the Liga MX International Tournament Final on Saturday, August 13 at 9:00 a.m. PT at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The Galaxy booked their ticket to the Final by finishing at the top of Group 2 with a 3-3-1 record.
Club Tijuana finished at the top of Group 1 with a 6-0-1 record. They scored a total of 14 goals and allowed just four to remain undefeated during the group stage of the tournament.
The Galaxy completed group play of the Liga Bancomer International tournament on Friday as they fell 4-0 to Club Tijuana.
Despite the loss, the Galaxy U-16's remained ahead of FC Dallas by one point, earning a spot in the tournament's final.
LA reached this year’s Final by way of defeating Philadelphia Union, FC Dallas and San Jose Earthquakes. The Galaxy also earned draw against Pumas and fell to Pachuca, Club Santos, and Club Tijuana in group play.
