The LA Galaxy U-17’s topped their group at the Torneo Internacional 2018 LIGA Bancomer MX with a 2-0 win over FC Dallas
Cameron Dunbar and Kobe Hernandez found the back of the net to give the Galaxy a third consecutive win at the tournament.
“Fully deserved result. The boys stepped on the field to send a message against what has historically been our top MLS rival. They maintained the level of intensity and concentration needed to win games at this level,” head coach Brian Kleiban said. “Our focus is entirely on Toronto now. This tournament is a marathon, not a sprint.
“Seven games in 10 days can take its toll on the body. The elements—altitude and air quality— are real. We will not make excuses, mentally, this is one of the strongest groups we have worked with. The LA Galaxy identity has been engrained in this group for two to three years.
They’ll take on Toronto FC on Tuesday at 10:15 am PT. The match will be televised on LAGalaxy.com.
