The Galaxy are 16-15-6 all-time against the Eastern Conference Revolution, tallying a 10-5-4 record in matches played under California stars. The Galaxy enter Wednesday’s fixture with only one win in their last five meetings against the Revs.
Saturday’s match against Sporting finds the Galaxy taking on one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. The Galaxy are 23-18-11 in games against the Midwestern side, but are winless at Sporting Park, going 0-1-1 in matches played at the sparkling Sporting facility.
Galaxy Homegrown forward Gyasi Zardes, who scored the game winner Saturday to lift the Galaxy over Real Salt Lake, has found the finishing touch in his second season in LA. Zardes has found the back of the net in three of the last four MLS matches and with four goals has equaled his rookie season output in the first half of his second campaign.
