Congratulations to the LA Galaxy Academy on their 2017 season.
The LA Galaxy Under-18’s played their final match of the season today versus Texans SC Houston in the Academy Championship Finals. The Galaxy lost to the Texans in the final minutes of the match, 1-2. The Galaxy Academy finish their season as the 2016-17 Development Academy U-17/18 runner ups.
Entering the second half with a one goal deficit, it was Efrain Alvarez who brought the match level 1-1 in the 56th minute. His score brought new life into the game, sparking a string of attempts by the Galaxy looking to take the lead.
The Texans fought back though and powered in what would be the game winner in the the 73rd.
Congratulations to all the LA Galaxy Academy players, coaches, and staff on an amazing season and good luck to all of our graduating seniors.
