Robbie Keane has been nominated for AT&T Goal of the Week for his game-winning goal in the 73rd minute in Saturday’s 3-1 win over the Portland Timbers.
Keane scored the decisive goal in the 73rd minute as he headed home a cross from Landon Donovan to make the score 2-1. After laying a ball into space for Donovan on the left side, Keane made a run to the far post where he beat a defender and direct the ball past Portland goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts.
Keane is up against Kelyn Rowe (NE), Dax McCarty (NYRB), Yannick Djalo (SJ) and Bradley Wright-Phillips (NYRB).
