Technical Sergeant Diaz was born in Mexico and later become a first-generation migrant student in Calexico, California.
She joined the Air Force in 2013 while still pursuing a civilian career. Initially, she trained as a "Port Dawg" (Air Transportation Craftsman) ensuring rapid global mobility for the United States and its allies, stateside and overseas. Diaz later earned her wings as a Career Enlisted Aviator, becoming a C-17 Aircraft "Loadmaster" with the 452nd Contingency Response Squadron, attached to the 729th Airlift Squadron. Diaz was tasked with ensuring the safety and security of the aircraft, cabin and cargo for airlift and safely deploying and brining troops home.
Following her deployment to Iraq in 2017 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Freedom Sentinel, she joined the Blue Eagles Honor Guard at March ARB, California where she currently serves as the Flight Chief.
Some of her awards include the Air and Space Achievement Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
