Three LA Galaxy Academy players have been named to a 36-player roster for the U.S Boys U-16 training camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
LA Galaxy Academy defenders Adrian Aguilar and Mauricio Cuevas, as well as forward Jonathan Perez will participate in the training camp, led by U.S. Boys U-16 Head Coach Shaun Tsakiris. The camp runs from Sept. 12-19.
Elsewhere in U.S. soccer news, the U.S. U-19 Men’s National Team secured a 4-1 victory against Jamaica to top the final standings of the 2018 U.S. Soccer U-20 Men's Invitational. LA Galaxy Academy players, Julian Araujo and Ulysses Llanez both saw action in the match. Llanez provided the assist for the team's second goal, and Araujo assisted Llanez's goal in the 74th minute. The U.S. U-20 Men's National Team also won their match against Venezuela with 3-1 as the final score. LA Galaxy Academy product, Alex Mendez started in the match and assisted on two of his team's three goals.
