CARSON, CALIF. (Friday, March 13, 2015) – Tickets for the U.S. Women’s National Team Send-Off Series match against Mexico scheduled for Sunday, May 17, at StubHub Center are now on sale. The match will kick off at 6 p.m. PT and be broadcasted live on FOX Sports 1.
Tickets for the U.S. WNT – Mexico match at StubHub Center are now available through ussoccer.com, by calling 1-888-929-7849, and at the StubHub Center ticket office (open Monday-Friday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.). Groups of 20 or more can obtain an order form at ussoccer.com or call 312-528-1290.
The game will mark the WNT’s second-to-last game at home prior to departing for Winnipeg, Canada, in advance of the team’s first match of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The U.S. outscored Mexico 15-0 over a span of three games in 2014. The CONCACAF foes embarked on a two-game set in September, with the USA scoring four goals in each half for an 8-0 win on Sept. 13 at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah. Five days later, the teams met again and the WNT nabbed the 4-0 victory at Sahlen’s Stadium in Rochester, New York.
This summer, the USA will face Australia, Sweden and Nigeria in Group D at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The USA opens against Australia on June 8 at Winnipeg Stadium, followed by Sweden on June 12 in Winnipeg and Nigeria on June 16 at BC Place in Vancouver.
The 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup runs from June 6-July 5 and all 52 games will be shown live on FOX, FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2 and on tablets and mobile devices through the FOX Sports GO app and FOXSportsGO.com.
