In March, LA Galaxy players Todd Dunivant and Baggio Husidic attended a Kick for Kids Clinic at University of Southern California in Los Angeles with local youth players from the community.
At the event, the Galaxy duo helped out in various interactive soccer games and activities while encouraging and playing with the participants. Dunivant and Baggio Husidic joined the event for the second-straight year after volunteering their time with Kick for Kids in 2014.
Kicks for Kids is a service organization dedicated to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for children with special needs in the greater Los Angeles area. With weekly soccer games and wholesome snacks, the organization aims to celebrate children traditionally marginalized from organized sports. They strive to establish meaningful bonds between children with developmental disabilities in the Los Angeles area and USC students from different walks of campus life.
During the events, Kick for Kids have several small-sided soccer games for athletes, who receive unwavering support and encouragement from enthusiastic volunteers. After the friendly matches, healthy refreshments are served to the athletes and volunteers, with opportunities for families and volunteers to interact. Kicks for Kids is open to children with any disability and is absolutely FREE for all participants.
