The LA Galaxy Champion Project continued providing a schoolwide soccer clinic on Friday, September 20th at Catskill Elementary School.
All grade levels were outfitted in LA Galaxy t-shirts to practice their soccer skills with LA Galaxy Camps & Clinics coaches. The students rotated through stations that focused on agility, passing and dribbling skills. Special guest, Cozmo gave hugs and played soccer with all the students who participated out at the soccer clinic.
The LA Galaxy will continue to partner with local elementary schools to provide soccer programming and opportunities to grow the game of soccer while promoting health, wellness and leadership development.
On November 1st, LA Galaxy staff and Girls’ Academy will partner with Shoes that Fit to distribute 100 new pairs of athletic shoes to Catskill Elementary School students. Shoes That Fit is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids improve their self-esteem by providing much-needed shoes so they can go to school in comfort and with dignity to better focus on their studies rather than their circumstances.
