CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy goalkeeper Clement Diop made his international debut for Senegal in the nation’s scoreless draw with Uganda on Monday.
The 23-year-old Parisian-born goalkeeper entered the match at the start of the second half and went 45 minutes in Les Lions de la Teranga’s friendly in Dakar. The match served as a tune-up for Senegal’s 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Equatorial Guinea on June 10.
Following Saturday’s match, Diop will rejoin the Galaxy ahead of their U.S. Open Cup game on June 14 and their clash with the Houston Dynamo three days later. Diop has made five appearances for the Galaxy this season.
