CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy learned Wednesday that Baggio Husidic will be out for an extended period, but received good news on the statuses of Jelle Van Damme and João Pedro.
Husidic suffered a fractured fibula on Sunday, and Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo told reporters that he will likely be out “two or three months.” The 30-year-old will need to undergo a procedure in recent weeks to repair the injury.
The news was much more positive for João Pedro and Jelle Van Damme. The Galaxy boss confirmed that Pedro was rested for parts of training on Wednesday, but is expected to participate in full this weekend. Meanwhile, Van Damme confirmed that he will be fit in time for Saturday against the San Jose Earthquakes after picking up a knee injury in Minnesota last weekend
