LOS ANGELES – Efrain Alvarez and Mexico were crowned U-17 CONCACAF Champions on Thursday evening.
Alvarez added an assist as Mexico defeated the U.S. U-17’s 2-1 in Extra Time to win the continental title. LA Galaxy Academy products Adam Saldana and Kobe Hernandez-Foster featured for the U.S. while Galaxy II defender Mauricio Cuevas was an unused substitute.
The United States, Mexico, Canada, and Haiti each earned the confederations four berths to the FIFA U-17 World Cup later this year.
