LOS ANGELES – Former LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers was awarded the Laces of Unity award on Wednesday at the Los Angeles Lakers’ Pride Night.
The Laces of Unity award recognizes individuals in the sports realm who have significantly contributed to the LGBTQ community.
Rogers is the second-ever recipient of the award, following former NBA player Jason Collins.
