Giovani dos Santos is relishing his opportunity to play alongside Steven Gerrard when he officially joins up with the LA Galaxy next month.
Dos Santos officially joined the Galaxy last week after a lengthy courtship from the Galaxy. Once the 26-year-old Mexican international joins up with the team after Mexico's participation in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup ends, dos Santos' presence will create an impressive Galaxy front six that will include Gerrard, dos Santos, Robbie Keane, Gyasi Zardes Sebastian Lletget, and Juninho.
Gerrard called himself an admirer of dos Santos last week, and in an exclusive interview with LA Galaxy TV, the Mexican star said that he's relishing the chance to play alongside the Englishman.
"It’s a great opportunity to play alongside Steven Gerrard given he’s a star player," dos Santos said. "I think it’s an honor for any player to be able to share the field with him. I am eager to meet him and be able to play with him. I am a fan of his and obviously I’m happy to be able to share the locker room with both."
