CARSON, Calif. -- LA Galaxy striker Giovani dos Santos has been left off the Mexico roster for their upcoming friendlies against Trinidad and Tobago and Argentina by interim El Tri manager Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti.
Dos Santos who has over 80 appearances all-time for Mexico's senior team was omitted from the squad for their friendlies against Trinidad in Salt Lake City on Sept. 4 and Argentina on Sept. 8 in Dallas. The pair of friendlies will serve as a tune-up for Mexico's Oct. 10 Confederations Cup playoff match with the United States. Also notably absent from Ferretti's squad are Giovani's brother midfielder Jonathan dos Santos and goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
The 26-year-old forward has been in breathtaking form for the Galaxy with three goals and five assists in five appearances with the club since signing on July 15.
