CARSON, Calif. – Giovani dos Santos’ impressive strike against Minnesota United captured the LA Galaxy’s Goal of the Month competition presented by 76 Gas for the month of May.
Dos Santos scored one of his five goals over the past five matches in the Galaxy’s 2-1 victory over Minnesota United on May 21. The finish was a world-class effort as the Mexican striker deftly placed a Romain Alessandrini cross into the back of the net with an outside of the foot finish.
Alessandrini's tally against New York Red Bulls finished second in the voting.
The Mexican international joins Efrain Alvarez and Dave Romney as past winners of the goal of the month competition.
