Gyasi Zardes will not be joining the United States national team for their upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers next week.
Zardes will miss out on the training camp after suffering an apparent groin injury in the first half of the Galaxy’s 1-1 draw with Real Salt Lake. The 26-year-old had been named to the roster by USMNT boss Bruce Arena, but will ultimately be unable to participate due to the issue.
The United States hosts Panama on Friday before closing out their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign on the road against Trinidad and Tobago four days later.
