CARSON, Calif. -- Jack McBean’s tally against Portland Timbers 2 gave the young striker the LA Galaxy Goal of the Month award presented by 76 Gas for the month of October.
McBean’s off-balance finish on an Efrain Alvarez free kick gave the 22-year-old forward the final Goal of the Month honor of the 2017 campaign. The goal earned more than 65 percent of the vote, outpacing Jonathan dos Santos' finish against Minnesota United.
The striker’s tally helped Los Dos end their home slate with a 3-2 win over Timbers 2.
McBean joins Alvarez, Ethan Zubak, Giovani dos Santos, Dave Romney, Justin Dhillon, Jonathan Estrada, and Special Olympics Unified athlete Logan Jones as winners of the competition.
