LA Galaxy central defender Jelle Van Damme was named to the MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week after the Galaxy's 3-1 victory over New York Red Bulls.
Van Damme anchored the Galaxy's defense as they shut out the Red Bulls for 92 minutes for Daniel Royer's goal in stoppage time. Galaxy winger Romain Alessandrini was named to the Team of the Week bench after scoring a brace against the Red Bulls.
