CARSON, Calif. – Jonathan dos Santos and rookie Nate Shultz conquered the annual beep test on the LA Galaxy’s second day of preseason training camp.
Dos Santos and Shultz each came out on top in their respective age groups in the grueling physical challenge. The Mexican central midfielder led the way for the experienced players, while the defender from Akron came out on top in a group of youngsters.
The training exercise requires players to run back and forth between two boundaries within the sound of automated beeps which increase in succession as the exercise continues. Participants can only miss a boundary once before being removed from the examination.
