LA Galaxy Academy graduate Drew Murphy saved his first goal for the North Carolina Tarheels for the most opportune time.

Murphy scored the decisive double overtime golden goal to give North Carolina a 1-0 victory over Providence and place the Tarheels into the College Cup for the seventh time in the program's history. The Palos Verdes native's goal came in the 102nd minute when the midfielder launched a shot from distance that bounced off the hands of Colin Miller and into the back of the net for the winner.

North Carolina will take on defending champion Stanford in the College Cup semifinals on Dec. 9 at Houston's BBVA Compass Stadium.
