CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy Academy excelled at last weekend’s GA Cup Finals with both the Under-15 and Under-17 teams winning their groups.
The Galaxy U-17’s needed three wins to reach the GA Cup Finals and did so in dominant fashion with three victories, scoring 10 times, while conceding just once. Efrain Alvarez, Ulysses Llanez, and Marco Ceja finished the group stage each with three goals apiece.
The Galaxy U-17’s will move on to the International Championship bracket of the GA Cup on March 23 to March 31 in Dallas, Texas.
Meanwhile, the LA Galaxy U-15’s also went undefeated and captured the U-15 Generation Adidas Western Regional title. The U-15’s participation in the tournament has concluded and they’ll return to USSDA action this weekend against Strikers FC.
