LA Galaxy Announce 2024 MLS Regular Season Schedule

LOS ANGELES (Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023) – The five-time MLS Cup Champions LA Galaxy today announced the club’s 2024 MLS Regular Season schedule. In their 29th season in Major League Soccer, the Galaxy will open the 2024 campaign at home against Inter Miami CF at Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday, Feb. 25 (5:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass).

The LA Galaxy’s home-opening match against Inter Miami CF on Feb. 25 marks the first-ever meeting between the two clubs at Dignity Health Sports Park and the second all-time matchup in league play. In the first regular-season meeting between LA and Miami, the Galaxy earned a 3-2 come-from-behind win at DRV PNK Stadium on April 18, 2021. Notably, the 2024 LA Galaxy home opener marks the return of club legend and Inter Miami CF owner David Beckham, while 2022 FIFA World Cup Champion and Argentina National Team captain Lionel Messi plays his first-ever match at Dignity Health Sports Park.

On Thursday July 4, the Galaxy will once again play host to intercity rival LAFC at historic Rose Bowl Stadium, the home venue of the LA Galaxy from 1996-2002, providing the biggest stage for Los Angeles’ marquee soccer rivalry. The 20th all-time edition of El Tráfico held at Rose Bowl Stadium on July 4, 2023 set an MLS stand-alone attendance record with a sold-out crowd of 82,110 fans, with the Galaxy earning a 2-1 victory over LAFC. Both clubs will also host one another during the 2024 MLS Regular Season at their respective home stadiums – Dignity Health Sports Park and BMO Stadium – for a total of three regular-season matches played between the two clubs next season.

The Fourth of July match against LAFC at Rose Bowl Stadium marks the continuation of the Galaxy’s tradition of hosting a game on Independence Day. Following the match, the club and Rose Bowl Stadium will stage a fireworks show for all fans in attendance, the longest-running fireworks show in all of professional sports during an active season. The Fourth of July match will mark the 28th MLS regular-season match held on July 4 for the Galaxy, who hold a 16-7-4 record on games played on Independence Day.

2024 Schedule Format
Every team will play 34 regular season games, with 17 at home and 17 away. The majority of matches in 2024 will be played on Saturdays and select Wednesdays, with local start times of 7:30 p.m.

• Eastern Conference (15 Clubs): Eastern Conference clubs will play each Eastern Conference opponent twice (28 games), once at home and once away. In addition, Eastern Conference teams will play six matches against select Western Conference opponents (6 games).
• Western Conference (14 Clubs): Western Conference teams will play each Western Conference opponent twice (26 games), once at home and once away, and additionally will play one or two intra-conference opponents a third time (1-2 games). Western Conference teams will play six to seven matches against teams in the Eastern Conference (6-7 games).

Leagues Cup

Leagues Cup, the World Cup-style club competition featuring all LIGA MX and Major League Soccer teams, is set to return for its 2024 edition. Kicking off Friday, July 26 with the tournament final on Sunday, Aug. 25, the official Concacaf tournament will maintain its three berths to Concacaf Champions Cup, with the Leagues Cup champion qualifying directly to the Round of 16.

Fans in more than 100 countries and regions can tune in to all the Leagues Cup action on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. TelevisaUnivision, TV Azteca, FOX Sports, TSN and RDS will broadcast select Leagues Cup matches in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

2024 MLS Cup presented by Audi
The Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs will culminate in Major League Soccer’s championship match, MLS Cup presented by Audi, Saturday, December 7, with hosting rights awarded to the competing team with the better regular season record.

LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members will be able to purchase single-game tickets to 2024 LA Galaxy home matches, with the exception of the Feb. 25 home opener, via a presale today starting at 2:00 p.m. PT. Season Ticket Members’ single-game presale for the Feb. 25 match will begin in January.

Single-game ticket public onsale for LA Galaxy home games, with the exception of the Feb. 25 and July 4 matches, will begin on Dec. 21 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
