CARSON, Calif. – The fruits of the process are ripening for the LA Galaxy.
Using one of the youngest lineups in LA Galaxy history, Los Angeles marched into Colorado and captured a 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday. Of 14 players who took the field on Wednesday for Curt Onalfo’s Galaxy squad, nine had experience playing for Los Dos or the LA Galaxy Academy.
Wednesday’s match is no aberration for Onalfo who has given 35.7 percent of all the Galaxy's minutes in 2017 to the 13 players who have come through Galaxy Academy and the team’s USL affiliate. The total is by far the league lead with the New York Red Bulls finishing second with 27.6 percent.
