KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Zlatan Ibrahimović issued a defiant message to his critics following Wednesday’s 2-0 LA Galaxy victory over Sporting Kansas City.
The Galaxy’s sensational Swedish forward scored a goal and added an assist in his first match back from a two-game suspension to give Los Angeles their second straight victory. Ibrahimović helped give the Galaxy their first win in Kansas City since 2007.
After a rough start to the month of May that saw Ibrahimović suspended and his team drop four in a row, the Galaxy’s captain had words for those who stand in his way.
“Criticism is everywhere. I like it because I eat it for breakfast and then for lunch… I love performing under pressure because that is like fuel for me,” Ibrahimović told reporters in Kansas City. “The more [criticism], the better I get.”
