On Wednesday, June 26th, the LA Galaxy Community Clinic series continued at the co-branded LA Galaxy and Herbalife Nutrition futsal courts at Jim Thorpe Park.
Over seventy-five local Hawthorne youth, ages 4 to 15 came out and participated in soccer programming. To kick off the clinic all youth received an LA Galaxy t-shirt and hat. Participants were then organized by LA Galaxy Camps and Clinics coaches into soccer stations, which they rotated through for 90-minutes.
LA Galaxy mascot, Cozmo, made new friends and played with all the youth at the clinic. Soccer clinic participants then had a chance to win prizes and take photos with LA Galaxy Star Squad.
After soccer programming concluded, Herbalife Nutrition protein snacks helped fuel the youth before they participated in the last portion of the clinic with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). PCA brought everyone together for an interactive lesson on ways to support and motivate their teammates on and off the field.
Throughout the 2019 LA Galaxy MLS soccer season, the LA Galaxy Community Clinic Series will continue to provide youth with the opportunity to participate in soccer programming in the Los Angeles community.
