FRISCO, Texas -- The LA Galaxy will have a chance to play spoiler on Sunday when they take on FC Dallas.
Los Angeles’ dreams of the postseason have long since been extinguished, but they’ll have a chance to spoil Dallas’ playoff hopes on Sunday. Dallas heads into the match needing a victory and a San Jose Earthquakes loss or draw or a tie against the Galaxy as well as a loss by the Earthquakes and Real Salt Lake to qualify for the postseason.
With FC Dallas aiming to reach the playoffs on Sunday, the Galaxy are hopeful of ending their playoff dreams.
"We know it’s our last game of the season and we want to finish it on a high note,” Jonathan dos Santos said.
“We’re hoping we can spoil someone’s party,” Dave Romney added.
Midfielder Bradford Jamieson IV has a different approach to the match, however.
“Our priority is to finish off the season well and have the same mindset we’ve had for the past couple games which is to give a good performance,” Jamieson said. “We want to show out and prove to everyone that there is quality in the squad. What other teams can have or not have is not of any of our concern really.”
