LOS ANGELES – LA Galaxy forward Efrain Alvarez has been named to the Mexico Under-17 National Team for their preparations for the Concacaf U-17 Championship this May.
Marco Antonio Ruiz’s 27-player squad will train in Acapulco until Saturday before moving to Mexico City for a match against Costa Rica on April 11.
Alvarez has made two appearances for the LA Galaxy this season with one assist.
