COLUMBUS, Ohio – The LA Galaxy will be without two of their key contributors for Wednesday’s clash with Columbus Crew SC.
Head coach Sigi Schmid will not have the services of Giovani dos Santos (hamstring) or Jermaine Jones (toe) for their midweek clash in Columbus. Both players were left behind in Los Angeles to prepare for the Galaxy’s crucial tilt on Sunday against the San Jose Earthquakes.
“Gio is carrying a hamstring [injury], and we didn’t feel that he’ll be ready for Wednesday. We think he’ll be ready for Sunday,” Sigi Schmid told LA Galaxy Insider. “Jermaine still has stitches, and it was located in a place where it was tough to keep wound closed. The feeling is that he needs another day or two.”
