LA Galaxy ready to host new-look Chicago Fire on Saturday | Weekly Schedule

LOS ANGELES (Monday, May 1, 2017) – In the last match of a three-game home stand, the LA Galaxy welcome Chicago Fire to Los Angeles. The match kicks off on Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. PT at StubHub Center. Presented by 76, the game will be broadcast live on Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum Deportes.


All time, the Galaxy gone 20-15-6 against the Fire, with an 11-6-3 record against them in Los Angeles. In their last meeting at StubHub Center, LA defeated Chicago 2-0 in the opening weekend of the 2015 season. Last season, the two played to a 2-2 draw at Toyota Park on Aug. 24.


On Saturday, former LA Galaxy midfielder Juninho will face off against the Galaxy for the first time in his MLS career, while new Fire signee Bastian Schweinsteiger will get his first look at MLS’ most successful franchise.


Over the weekend, LA Galaxy played to a 0-0 draw with Philadelphia Union at StubHub Center. The team earned their second shutout of the season in the match, helping them earn their first draw of 2017. With the tie, the Galaxy now sit 11th in the Western Conference standings (2-5-1, 7 points).
