LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy slipped in the MLS Power Rankings after falling to New York Red Bulls last Saturday.
Los Angeles’ seven-game unbeaten run was snapped when they lost 3-2 to New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena.
The complete MLS Power Rankings presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment can be found below:
“The much-improved Galaxy defense glitched a bit in New Jersey, where the Red Bulls put three past David Bingham. It seems a little odd that the Galaxy worked so hard to pull off the transfer of Giancarlo Gonzalez a month ago, only for the Costa Rica international to be rooted to the bench.
“The Galaxy drop a spot after losing a topsy-turvy match at Red Bull Arena, but if they can grab six points this week they'll move ahead of LAFC in the Supporters' Shield race, regardless of what their El Trafico rival does. They seem to be in good shape even before they add any potential deadline-day signings.”
