CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy Academy will face off against some of the world’s top academies this week at the 2018 Generation Adidas Cup in Frisco, Texas.
The Galaxy Under-17 side will take part in the Champions Division which will feature top academies from throughout Major League Soccer and several top world academies. The Galaxy squad will participate in Group D alongside FC Dallas, French side Monaco, and Liga MX squad Pachuca. The group will be led by Galaxy Homegrown player Efrain Alvarez who was recently named as one of the top players to watch at GA Cup by MLSsoccer.com.
Los Angeles will open the tournament on March 23 against Pachuca at 12:30 PM PT, before taking on Monaco two days later at 12:30 PM PT. The Galaxy Academy squad will close the tournament with a match with FC Dallas on March 27 at 2:45 pm PT.
